Well, with a passion for programming and a rather mundane stay-at-home vacation, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to immerse myself in a weekend of creativity and coding.

Realmshifter is an action-based tactical card game that holds a special place in my heart. As a fan of card games myself, I wanted to craft an experience that had a unique twist—a game that would inject speed and excitement into the genre. During the game jam, I had to work within the constraints of using free assets, which challenged me to keep things simple and resourceful.

Upon the conclusion of the jam, I found myself surprisingly excited with the outcome of my game. Despite the absence of sound effects and the initial complexity of understanding the cards, I couldn't help but feel a strong connection to it. I firmly believe that Realmshifter holds immense potential, which is why I am determined to see it through to completion.

With that said, I have decided to keep the game here on itch.io, where I can gather comments and feedback from all of you. Although I managed to create Realmshifter within just one week, it undoubtedly possesses its fair share of imperfections. Recognizing this, I have taken it upon myself to start afresh and rebuild the game from scratch, aiming to address all its current shortcomings.
